Rookaroo questions

Where are the grown-ups' settings?

On the Rookaroo home screen, tap the gear button. You'll answer a quick grown-ups question first, then you can change sound and motion, manage players, buy or restore the full adventure, and find these links.

What’s free, and what does the unlock include?

The first two chapters, Meet the chessboard and Rook adventures, are free. A one-time purchase of $4.99 (US) unlocks all eight chapters for every player on the device. There’s no subscription, and no ads.

I bought the full adventure. How do I get it on a new device?

Sign in to the same Apple ID or Google account you bought it with. Then open the grown-ups' settings and tap Restore purchase. Rookaroo also checks with the store each time it starts.

How do I request a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple or Google, so refunds go through them. On Apple devices, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, open the Google Play app and go to Payments & subscriptions, then Budget & history.

Can more than one child play?

Yes. Each child gets their own player with their own picture and progress. Add or rename players in the grown-ups' settings under Players.

How do I start a child's progress over?

In the grown-ups' settings, open Players, choose the child and pick Start over. This clears only that child's stars and can't be undone.

The voices or music are too loud, or I can't hear them.

Check the device volume and that it isn't in silent mode. You can turn voices, sound effects and music on or off separately in the grown-ups' settings under Sound and motion. Calmer motion is there too.

Does Rookaroo need the internet?

No. Everything works offline. The only time Rookaroo talks to the internet is when you buy or restore the full adventure through the App Store or Google Play.

Will my child's progress be lost if I delete the app?

Yes. Progress is saved only on the device and is never uploaded, so deleting the app deletes it. Your purchase isn't lost; use Restore purchase after reinstalling.
